In just two short weeks, neighborhoods across the country will have their streets filled with little ghouls and goblins trick-or-treating for goodies. While we already know Halloween is an extremely popular holiday from coast to coast, we posed the question: what exactly are the top cities to fill your bag with treats?
We analyzed data from neighborhoods that use our Halloween Treat Map to find the top cities for trick-or-treating across the country. Did your city make the list?
This year, Plano, Texas is taking home the title as the top city for treats. Plano is followed by Raleigh, North Carolina; Aurora, Colorado; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (newcomer); and Alexandria, Virginia (newcomer). Other newcomers joined the list this year including Tucson, Arizona and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Neighbors living in these cities are sure to hit the Halloween jackpot and have a pumpkin pail full of candy and other goodies by the end of Halloween night.

Methodology: List based on the ratio of the number of Nextdoor members who marked their homes on Nextdoor’s Treat Map in 2017 to the total Nextdoor members in a city. Data was analyzed in U.S. cities with more than 75 Nextdoor neighborhoods where more than 30,000 residents are signed up for Nextdoor. The list includes the city with the highest ratio from each state, up to 10 states.
