Nextdoor and the City of Nashville Celebrate the Power of Community - Nextdoor Blog

In June 2013, the Nashville Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods partnered with Nextdoor to provide another citywide and neighbor-to-neighbor communications channel. Over the past year and a half, there has been a 420 percent increase in membership – nearly 25,000 residents from 300 Nashville neighborhoods have chosen to connect on Nextdoor.

In June 2013, the Nashville Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods partnered with Nextdoor to provide another citywide and neighbor-to-neighbor communications channel. Over the past year and a half, there has been a 420 percent increase in membership – nearly 25,000 residents from 300 Nashville neighborhoods have chosen to connect on Nextdoor.

To mark the anniversary and the progress that has been made, Mayor Karl Dean, Nextdoor Senior City Strategist Robbie Turner, and a handful of the most engaged Nextdoor neighborhoods in Nashville gathered together this morning.

Mayor Dean recognized the following neighborhoods for their dedication to building stronger, safer Nashville communities:

• Most Neighbors Enrolled on Nextdoor: Nextdoor Sylvan Park
• Most Talkative Neighborhood: Nextdoor The Nations
• Most Social Neighborhoods: Nextdoor Salemtown and Nextdoor Historic Germantown
• Nextdoor Neighborhood Champion: Nextdoor Avondale Park
• Most Helpful Neighborhood: Nextdoor Crieve Hall
• Most Generous Neighborhood: Nextdoor Richland West End
• Neighborhoods with the Strongest Virtual Neighborhood Watch: Nextdoor Hillbrook and Nextdoor Caldwell-Abbay Hall
